I decided on Friday afternoon that Saturday would be a good day to do my first Park Run. I had done zero prep for it as despite doing cardio 3 times a week for the past 8 weeks or so, I’ve not done running at all.
It was hard work but very fun and rewarding. I could have probably gone a little faster as I was running with a family member but the thing that mattered was completing it – especially as it was raining and very muddy… Despite doing a 10k a couple of years ago I never really got into or enjoyed running – but I found it a lot easier after losing the weight I have and am already planning on doing it again next week.
