It’s only Sunday so a little earlier than my normal posts as I can’t make it to weight class on Tuesday due to a conference I am attending.
This week has been a really good week – I’ve not even considered cheating / eating anything else and have found it a lot easier than previous weeks. Perhaps my habits are changing finally but lets just see how the next few weeks go! I also had a trip up to HQ (which means 7-8hrs drive in one day) where I managed to stick to the water and mint tea, although this was most likely helped by having a passenger on the way back who kept me in check (whilst he ate his McDonalds!).
I also posted some photos to Facebook to track how I am getting on – which I’m going to add to every few weeks – here is one from this week to give an idea of how that loss looks.
So the good news is another 5lb lost since Tuesday – importantly bringing my current weight to under 18st.. So that’s a total of 49lb lost now.
I’ve also decided this week that I want to increase my initial target a little. At the start I had aimed towards losing 115lb (8st 2lb) but I’ve increased this target to 140lb (10 st) so that I finish within a healthy BMI and factor in that I will most likely put on some extra weight after I start eating again fully.
So with that, here’s the target update.
Target 1 – Lose 14lb (1 stone) – Reward – Destiny for Xbox One – DONE
Target 2 – Lose 25lb – DONE 23/09/14
Target 3 – Lose 35lb – DONE 07/10/14
Target 4 – Lose 50lb – Amazon Fire TV or Raspberry Pi (1lb to go!!!)
Target 5 – Lose 70lb
Target 6 – Lose 85lb
Target 7 – Lose 100lb – Reward – Tattoo!
Target 8 – Loose 115lb (original goal)
Target 9 – Loose 125lb
FINAL GOAL – Loose 140lb (10st) – Reward – Wedding Ring
PROGRESS: 49lb gone – 91lb to go (35% gone) – 16.33% of original weight lost
Finally I also wanted to talk about the weight management clinic that I went to at the Doctors this week.
I’d been a few times to this before over the past few years and whilst they gave some basic advice, they also suggested that drugs (similar to Alli tablets) were the best way to drop weight. I tried these quite a few times and got really bad headaches each time that I did it so gave up completely. What frustrates me a little is that they do not suggest something like Lighter Life rather than drugs… So next time that I go (next month) I am going to find out what I need to do to lobby the local NHS board to try a programme of doing just that, if they are not already. They did however refer me to a scheme they have with the gym that gives me 12 weeks of free PT and half price gym membership for a year, so I’ll be starting this when my appointment comes through in the next couple of weeks.
That’s it for now. Thanks for reading.
