Week 6 Update

So last night was week 6 weigh in and I was a bit disappointed in that I lost my lowest yet in a week since I started – 4lb.

In hindsight this was still a good amount as this week has been a bit of a challenge and I have “cheated” quite a few times.   The frustrating thing is that my “cheats” are on stupid things that don’t even taste that good – such as a slice of bread with nothing on it.  Last night I tried to explain it and the best way I could do so was using these famous R Kelly Lyrics:

My mind’s tellin’ me no
Buy my body..
My body’s telling me yes..

I think a lot of it is just habit but the most important thing in this journey is getting out of this habit – as if this does not stop then when I finish the weight will just come back on.

At the class this week there was also the biggest turn out yet of 9 people – 3 of which were returning and had done the plan before but put it back on, which again I worries me and shows the importance of trying to change my mindset over this 25 week or so plan.

I don’t have a huge amount of challenges this week that will make it anymore difficult – but I am quite looking forward to Sunday where I am going Go Karting for the first time in god knows how many years.   I’ve been invited Karting quite a few times in the past few years and have always turned it down due to my weight issues so fingers crossed I’ll fit OK in the Kart and that it will actually move with me in it!

Being a big fan of spreadsheets and charts I’ve also been mapping out my loss so far compared to what I was hoping to achieve.   As mentioned I estimated that it would take me 25 weeks to hit goal – which works out as 5lb a week..   So here is my current vs. target graph:


I’ve also updated the targets – just 10lb away from my 4th target now – which I would hope to hit the week after next.

Target 1 – Lose 14lb (1 stone) – Reward – Destiny for Xbox One – DONE
Target 2 – Lose 25lb – DONE 23/09/14
Target 3 – Lose 35lb – DONE 07/10/14
Target 4 – Lose 50lb
Target 5 – Lose 70lb
Target 6 – Lose 85lb
Target 7 – Lose 100lb
Target 8 – Loose 110lb
FINAL GOAL – Lose 115lb (8st 2lb) – Reward – Wedding Ring
PROGRESS: 40lb gone – 75lb to go (34.78% gone)

So – onwards and inwards for another week.
